Graduation from Hamilton College
I finally finished my degrees in both Theatre and Africana Studies! I came to Hamilton College through the grace and kindness of Hamilton’s Diversity Recruitment Team. I was just another kid in the NYC’s school-to-prison-pipeline, but someone saw potential in me, encouraged me to apply, and ultimately accepted me. I will always be grateful to her for that. I’ve accomplished so much here: I ran the Black and Latinx Student Union, I chaired the Student Diversity Council, I served as a Multicultural Peer Mentor, a Head Residential Advisor, an Admission Recruitment Fellow, and I led the A Better Chance tutoring program, all while balancing 2 major concentrations, 3 jobs, and ongoing theatre productions. I caught the acting bug here thanks to my professor Mark Cryer and I’ll appreciate him for his encouragement.
